    I just replaced my clutch in a 99 355 F1 at a little over 20,000 miles

Approx ten track days, very rarely use “auto”, never use “sport” except on track,
Never put it in neutral at stops.

Specs are new 8.9 at rest
    Wear limit 2.0
Mine it outer edge where wear is most prominent average is 7.3, in center average is 8.2

This means that I replaced it at less than half life.

I suspect that a good amount of that wear occurred in the first day of use when I was forced to back up a winding hill about 100 feet in the dark. “What’s that smell?” I had been using the brake and gas at the same time! Worst thing I could have done.

I also replaced the tensioner bearings, the ones I took out are as good as the ones I replaced them with. No wobble at all, no grease leaking.

The only incipient problems I see are signs of the headers cracking just behind the welds to the flanges. This can only be seen looking inside the headers very carefully.

    The headers are being replaced.

The cam timing turned out to be good, no more that 1 and ½ degree out.

A note about cam timing (rifledriver, please correct me if I am wrong)

You want the dial indicator to be on 0 just before you start up the ramp, which is not necessarily 0 at TDC when you are on the heel of the cam. (I had one cam that was .004 out from heel to start of opening ramp)
