So, I've been doing some work on my car and wanted to be sure that I documented the details similar to records I would receive from a shop. Attached is what I came up with. Feel free to copy or modify this in any way that suits your own needs. I know many members here do there own work and I think it is important to document it properly should one decided to sell their car at some point. Yes, I started doing this a few years ago with a Porsche I used to own. I did a lot of my own work as well. I simply d/l'd a template from MSFT online and made up an invoice that looked like a shop's. I think I just called my shop "Bloody Knuckles Automotive." ketel
Picture of repair being done with a dated newspaper and parts receipt I don't believe anything I hear and only half of what I see
Looks great. I generally don't believe anything I have done myself.. but that would make me completely unsociable and near to living in a hut in the woods. That being said.. a lot of us do our own things on our cars. I think any future buyer would gauge your receipts, a PPI and a convo with you to determine if you knew what you were doing. and if they can't.... you know what.. the deal wasn't meant to be and you both move on. I need to start getting my receipts and stuff together.. thanks for the push.
