Nice job! Are you going to do the centre tunnel and door cards as well?

Do you mean real carbon fiber with resin or carbon look a-like wrap? Pics look good.

If it is wrap, I wonder what it would look like coated with automotive clear coat. Polished of course.

Is there a service out there who will wrap my alum interior parts? I'd really like to CF my interior but don't want to drop $4k. If so...what would the rough cost be to wrap?

Thanks guys, I used the 3M™ DI-NOC Carbon Fiber Vinyl. The material looks amazing and it feels great to the touch. You can get enough material for the whole interior for less than $100, the rest is labor of love.

Yes, I will eventually do the centre tunnel/console, that will probably be the last part as it is one of the more difficult interior trim piece to remove. I am going to wrap the rest of interior parts in this order (1 item per week), the hardest part is removing them off the car:

    1. Gauge cluster
    2. Door sills (this is probably the easiest part to wrap, the hard part is removing it off the car)
    3. Interior door handle and surrounding trims
    4. Door panel
    5. Centre console

The picture below motivated me to perform this fun little DIY job, IMO, it updates the interior a lot. I have only done the radio panel so far, IMO that alone already makes a big difference. It looks so good looking from outside though the window or sitting inside.

Looks like your HVAC knobs are getting the sticky syndrome.

Word of caution, make sure you clean all the tacky, stickiness off any of those parts you plan on wrapping, basically any of the black plastic that is coated. Wrap the parts after they have been stripped. If not, after a few months the wrap will start to peel off because the sticky goo under it gets stickier and more gooey and the wrap has nothing to adhere to....

Thanks Blackbolt, Like Argento I wanted to update the look of my Spider. I think that the key is not go overboard with modifications as we don't want to taint a special car. It's not a 430 or a 458 so let's not try to make it one.

It Most Definitely is Not a Japanese car so we really don't want that feel either.

    Looks nice!
Congratulations with completing your carbon fiber wrap of the cockpit.
Howe about the engine bay? Are y planing to replace the side pannels too?
The whole airbox can be installed in carbon fiber as well (lots of weight loss).
    Cheers.

    Your interior is beautiful!!!

The carbon fiber wrap does have shiny surface, but not glossy like the real carbon fiber pieces with clear coat. It has a non-glossy shine closer to the factory dry carbon sport seats. I plan to use the money saved towards a set of CS wheels.

If you do not already have carbon fiber pieces for the door handle, lock, trims around that area. You can easily wrap this area, that is area I am planning to do next.

Thanks for the head up, I wish I had cleaned out the buttons when I took the radio panels apart. I just cleaned the sticky stuff off the door lock and handle.

Ive been playing with the stuff for a while Only problem i see is it dosnt really look like REAl cabon fiber as it is matte finish as opposed to a gloss with some depth to it from the clear coat . I had read you can spray one coat of clear ,anymore and the pattern in the wrap is DESTROYED . heres a pic i did as a test on a few panels on my lotus

Nicely done. I was considering doing the same on my Elise, but opted to have CarbonJohn do a set of CF access panels (on order now), as he gave me great price for being the first customer for these--I had to send him my panels for the mold.

Did you do the mesh grill yourself or is that a kit? That's on my list.
