    You got that right.. no tail, half the wings missing.. I guess undamaged means different things to different people. Pretty sure it wont be getting an air worthiness cert any time soon

    I guess anything is possible. With enough desire and financing. Sad to see it in such a state.

    At least it didn't burn to the ground during the salvage attempt, as the B-29 did in Greenland.

    I am sure it was interesting to recover, but really corroded away to hell. Maybe there is a data plate there and they can then just "restore" a whole new plane around that.

    Interesting that it was in such shallow water and so close to the coast for all these years and only found in 2008...

    FWIW, I don't think anyone wants to restore that plane or even make it fly again. It's a wreck and supposed to remain as such. Plans are to display it next to a wreck of a British plane in a museum.
