    I did the 30K timing belt service on my 1994 348 spider recently. The take offs included a perfectly good water pump and idler & tensioner and a few used valve clearance shims.

    Do any of these have core value to anyone for reman or other purposes?

    I welcome your thoughts.

    Yes. Some people rebuild the pumps and tensioners.

    Yes they do. Especially the water pump and valve shims.

    I ended up with some timing belt cover pieces because I ended up having to buy an entire kit to replace one broken rear cover.

    Decided to put all the new parts on the car but the other plastic parts were fine.


    Going to clean them up and list them at a reasonable price.

    I floated this idea before. To put together a box of a few hundred 2V and 4V shims for Ferrari and pass it around for valve adjustment. Between the dozen of us here I bet we have at least that many in all sizes. I even volunteer to be the keeper of the box and manage it but nobody took me up on it. Get it, use it, put the unused ones back, put the used ones you take out back, and send it back or on to the next guy. Free!
