Is there a way to tell by the VIN whether a 1995 F355 has California emissions? My emissions label is missing and I want to make sure I get the correct label before I try to get the car smogged. If not by the VIN, can you tell by the emissions equipment that is present?

Furthermore, I read that all F355's are 50 state cars, meaning they all have California emissions. If that is true then the above questions are moot.

The label is specific to each year of the F355 (slight changes in text and format and different label code/My). The same label applies to all states, so 50 state.

Not sure of the fifty state rating Brian, but I own a 1995 F355 and just passed smog in SoCal last week. I am running Hi-Flow cats and a Tubi exhaust. I think the biggest challenge would be passing the visual part of the examination if you run into a STAR tech who knows what to look for as far as after-market products are concerned. Luckily, I live in a relatively rural area where the smog station employees are just thrilled to get to drive the car into the inspection bay. California has the strictest emission standards (especially down here), so I don't believe you should have any issues with a decently tuned car.

    Good luck, Henry

It is my understanding that all F355 cars came with 50 state emissions.
355Rockit above can mail you the correct label for your car.
I got one and it was a great match.

All US cars may be 50 state, but not all cars (some euro cars were different).

Yes, US Cars. Should have been more specific.

Thank you so much. I have contacted 355Rockit and he has agreed to get me a sticker for a very reasonable fee. I'm waiting for the PO of my car to see if he has my missing panel before I move forward.

My panel was missing when my car arrived. Luckily, the PO found the panel and overnight'ed it to me. I passed smog and got the car registered in CA last week, but it would have been much harder without the emissions sticker/right panel. Good luck!
