Can any of you guys shed some light on this subject? I know that the mechanism came standard on the Enzo, but was it an option not to include it on your order?
One of my work colleagues has started this argument here at work about this matter and he wont stop. I'd like to get some closure on it because it's starting to really annoy this #$%# out of me.....

You dont know how long it took me to convince him that Enzo's came in more colors than Nero/Rossa/Giallo. He thought all others pic were photo-chopped!

I'm interested to see the amount of options buyers had when buying the vehicle.
    Thanks guys.

All Enzos are equipped with this from the factory. The button to actuate it is located on the steering wheel , it is the bottom-most button on the left underneath the yellow emblem in the center of the wheel. It shows a small picture of the car with an arrow on the axle-lift. IIRC this function operates at speed below 20MPH and raises the front of the car a bit more than 4 additional inches from the ground.

Thanks Richard for getting this fact for me.
I thought you could have it removed, but im guessing not because it seems to be intergrated into the car's systems.
    Thanks

i'm not absolutely, 100% sure, but i'd be willing to bet an entire paycheck that it is NOT an option; either you take the car with the lift mechanism or you don't take the car at all... It seems to me that they would have to change some things very early on in the building stage to remove this feature...

Besides, unless an NNO is going to LIVE on the track and never go anywhere else, why would you want that function removed in the first place...?

Good point there Carb. But say for instance here in AUS, where an NNO cant be registered to drive on the road, and ill bet my paycheck that theres a hell of alot more countries like AUS, the only place they can be driven is on the track.
Therefore, i was wondering if you could have it removed to lighten the weight a fraction for the track. It would make sense in that case because the car will never see the road. Also it would be hard to avoid police attention on the road, because........well....its an NNO!

It can't be driven on the road...?!?

    :::GASP!:::

i would IMMEDIATELY move to another country... Immediately... i can't fathom that... Even though i've not yet seen an NNO "in the wild" save for the NNO Who Run up in NY that Kenny put together, i'd STILL move... Oh, man that sucks...

But now that you've mentioned that, i can see why it would be a valid question...

I guess that answer to that it NO.
I could envision that the NNO is scary fast as is and there would be no real need to shave some pounds cause it would only be more scary fast. And that's a scary thought. Its made me scared.
If i had the funds to afford an NNO, i'd be outa there in a flash!

Does Monterey not count? I saw Enzos on the road several times, didn't you? I know it isn't like spotting one when you are just cruising around in Atlanta but still...

i saw one "in the wild", parked, but it's hard to count it when we were so close to an event... Still, that didn't stop me from blurting out: "Look...! An NNO...!"
