Do ALL F430 spider cars have the ability to turn off the airbag or any 360's???

    I am looking into getting a F430 or a 360 spider. I want to have the ability to turn off the passenger air bag.

    Do any of the 360 spiders have the ability to turn off the passenger air bag???

    Also is it true that ALL the 430 us cars have the ability to turn off the passenger air bag???

    In a 360, no. The F430 has airbag shutoff.

    Definitely a YES as to the F430.

    I believe it is a NO for the 360 -- although I recall there was a post on F-Chat of someone coming up with some sort of fix/solution. Try a search.

    Jack - does your US 430 actually have this?

    There's no mention of it in the brochures. In the 612 italian brochures though there is the following Italian:

    Kit disattivazione air-bag passeggero -OFFPKit
    disattivazione air-bag passeggero per la 612 Scaglietti, posizionato nel fondello
    della plancia lato passeggero e collegato con una spia luminosa collocata nel display
    di bordo con informazione ripetuta sulla plafoniera.
    Disponibile come opzione solo per l’Europa.

    The last part saying at least to my basic knowledge of euro-language, that the option to turn off the airbag is only for EU cars...

    I found a 2000 360 spider (euro car), fantastic car. The dealer (pre-driven) stated that they could install a switch that would allow me to turn the passenger air bag off. However; after speaking to my local Ferrari dealer, it is NOT worth the risk of my 2 year old daughter's safety.

    I guess I will have to get in line, and save those dollars for a 430 spider. OR I could always look into a Lambo G-car.

    The funny thing is that a saleperson at the local Ferrari dealer; that I respect told me that the 430 does not have that option. It is amazing how that person does not even know his product!!! I guess he knew that there was no way in hell for me to get a 430 spider, and they had plenty of 360's so maybe I would purchase a 360 vs. a 430.

    Most likely, that is what he was thinking.
    I'm sure he knew about the cut-off switch.

    Mike is that your 430??? It is sweet

    If so; how do you like it???

    Also do you like the F1 vs a 6 speed???

    430's also have the baby seat attachments on the passenger seat as well as a hookup on the bulkhead. It's all setup for the single parent!
