Have any of you know from first hand experience of whether Aston dealers move on Vanquish prices or is pretty much set in stone your paying list price?

Also any idea what is the going price on a used Vanquish S, 2005 with 1,300 miles on it?

I don't know but the DB9 looks better IMHO and was faster around the track on a recent episode of Top Gear.

not sure i grok the question.

they buy cars at wholesale from the manufacturer and then sell them at market prices to end consumers.

the S in MSRP stands for "suggested" ;)

if your price is X and there aren't other buyers mulling about then that's the market value.

rule #1 about price negotiation: ASK the seller! :)

Vanquishes have been selling back of MSRP for a couple years now - brand new. The DB9 only accentuated the lack of interest in their 'supercar'...look for something only slightly used if you're going Vanquish, otherwise you'll lose a TON of money just driving it off the lot, even if you negotiate it well back of sticker. Most dealers aren't willing to pay over 150 for a decent 2003 model - I think you can probably interpolate from that how much depreciation they've taken in a very short period of time, and the S will likely be no different in terms of 1-3 year value. If you go used, keep an eye out for cracked exhaust manifolds - I've seen a few so far with this issue either present or repaired and noted in the service history. Warranty covers this, but be aware it could be a concern.
