Quick question for the forum here. Does a TR or Boxer have more head room than a 328? meaning if I measure the distance from the bottom of the seat to the roof panel.....I currently have a 328 but am short on head room.....I like the idea of owning a classic Ferrari, so I am looking into what other models may work for me in the classic Ferrari family. I am 6' 3" tall.

I don't have much seat time in a 328, so I can't say for sure on the comparison. The Boxer does seem to me to have more room than the 308GTBs I've sat in.

I'm 6'4" and the Boxer seemed small the first time I was in it, but over time I've gotten used to it and have no problems now, even on a fairly long trip.

I can only compare the Boxer to a F360 and a F430. Both of them felt like sitting in a limosine after getting out of the Boxer.

I think your comfort in the Boxer depends on the length of your legs and your arms. I am approx 5'11", average length legs and arms. I can feel what little hair is left on the top of my head rubbing the headliner at times. I have the seat adjusted so my legs are comfortable with the pedals, and the seat back adjusted so my arms are relatively straight, slight bend at the elbow. If you are too tall for the car, and have to recline the seat back even more, the question will be the comfort of your arms while driving. Not to mention the potential of submarining.

maybe an 1" max, my head is very close on my 328 to the roof, the BB slightly more room, definately more room between door to door.

from experience, the 308 is much larger (at least it feels that way) on the inside, with more headroom.

I don't think that there is a lot of difference in headroom. What makes the difference for me (6"3') is that the steering wheel in the TR is adjustable and that the whole cabin is more spacious. I feel much better in the TR, also on long distances.

Adjustable steering wheel? Next you will tell me you have power steering and an A/C that really works.

The A/C in my 512 TR works a lot better than in my 328. :) And YES, the steeringwheel is adjustable.

Yep, my TR A/C works perfect & my 328 A/C was weak. And yes, the steering wheel does adjust unlike the 328.

When I had my car wash in Palm Springs Ca 10 years ago a customer that had a business next door used to leave his black TR for me to detail and drool over, he drove it in 110'+ heat the a/c actually kept it cool. The car had over 70,000 miles back then on it, would occasiobnlly puff a big cloud of smoke when started after sitting for awhile to the suprise of customers but ran great.

Do all Boxers have the slightly right-shoulder angle offset? The steering wheel in 2 Boxers I've sat in does not point straight to the middle of the back of the seat but rather to the right.

you can adjust the angle up and down and right to left on the BB wheel via 4 bolts under the dash

Ah! Good info; thanks. I'll assume the BBi works the same way.
