Just out of pure curiosity, I am interested to know if say someone "Hollywood famous", such as Jay Leno, Paris Hilton etc. someone very high profile wants to purchase a Ferrari such as a 458 Spyder that has a long wait time, do they wait in line like everyone else, or does Ferrari drop their panties and bump them ahead of the line?

you haven't been following Jay Leno's plight... that is one of the issues among several that has soured him on the Ferrari brand...
the short version is something along the lines that he went to a dealer and asked for the time of day and heard nothing but crickets...then over run by a flood of BS... someone has an accurate accounting of his bad experience which probably is not too different ( as I understand it has nothing to do with the car, but rather with PR as a customer )

Absolutely they wait - celebrity money is here-today, gone-tomorrow. The real 'favorites' with Ferrari are the long-time customers who have spent metric-tons of money at the dealerhsip over spans of 30, 40 years or more. If those people happen to be 'famous', that is a coincidence in-relation to their long-term patronage of the brand.

Most of them buy them on the secondary market with mark ups.

I'd say no. The only wait would be time to build one the way they want it. Ferrari has been known to cater to celebs from day one. It's good exposure. They wouldn't necessarily get a price break though.

LOL if they have to wait how is it that when they get their driver's licence they end up getting a new Fcar. Doesn't Justin Bieber have one. I'm sure fame is the grease that gets the car.
