Ok, this is crazy. Reference my earlier thread if necessary: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56970 But this chick I have known only since Jan, is moving to California on Friday. Would you ever ask anyone to marry you this quick? I don't want to lose her, she is an awesome catch. Neither one of us can change where we work for the time being, what would you do? Ever known anyone to ask someone to marry them so quickly? Thanks!
My wife and I were engaged 4 months after meeting. We knew the moment we meet we would be married. My parents were married within 6 months of meeting. Both my wife and I and my parents are happily married (10 years and 37 years). With that said, we are the exception. 50% of marriages end in divorce, and many of them within the first 2-3 years. If you only want to marry her because she is "hot" and a great catch, you will have series problems down the road. Just my .02. Ken
BTW, A CORRECTION, THE STANDARD DIVORCE RATE IN THE USA IS NOW 58%, WITH CHRIS AMD MELISSA (MY NEIGHBORS) JOINING THE TRAIN................
Many more fish in the sea. If you are this hooked on her and there is no resiprocation from her, It's one sided. Never a good way to start off. Move on.
If her personality is that kind where she likes to help other people alot, You know the nurse type, someone with very little self needs, then you should marry her, those type general will stay with their mate, and always be the loving caring type. If shes not that type than your on your own, I don't know.
FUKK it man! She's hot! The sex is hot! She laughs at your jokes! DO IT DO IT DO ITDO IT!!!!!!!!!!! . . ......is that what you wanted to hear?
...and besides, what all are you really risking here? You can get divorced in Mexico in a month! HAVE SOME BALLS!!!!! GET ON THAT PLANE!!!!!
Speaking of which, you should have your sea legs back in a few days! In the meantime don't hurt yourself, post at kiddieland.com!
Don't blow a seal and don't be a crab. I was just posting for the hallibut. BTW, The ship is still moving on dry land. I am more sea sick now on dry land then I was at sea. I think I need to sea a sturgon.
Oddly enough, I've been there. I was dating a swimsuit model in FL when I got transferred to MA. I hated the idea of giving up our relationship ... oh heck, it was our world-class necking sessions I didn't want to lose. But asking her to come with me would mean asking her to give up her modelling career -- something I couldn't do without taking the plunge for marriage. I spent a weekend agonizing over the decision, but it came down to the idea that marriage as a "consolation prize" isn't a good choice. As it happened, she took the opportunity to bolt for NYC to advance her career, without even stopping to say "ciao", so all that worrying was for naught. (I wonder how that worked out for her.) The moral: if she's going, she's already gone. Move on.
