The AC Delco rebuild is garbage. My colleague, who has a 348, rebuilt his and it only lasted about 2 years.

And my experience is the exact opposite. I have a PC925 Odyssey in my NSX and have been through 3 batteries in 4 years. Complete and utter garbage in my opinion. And they recently jacked the prices way up on them. Whereas I have had an Optima for over 10 years that I use to operate the winch in my car hauler and it's still going strong. No complaints whatsoever there. I have a newer Optima in my F355 and so far no problems. It's only been 2 years though.

I can't speak to Odyssey (never used that brand) - but my Optima yellow top lasted only 1 year. Replaced with a cheaper brand in the same car, still going strong many years later. Not doubting your experience one bit, but you know what the say: YMMV!

    Cheers

Such is life with anecdotal evidence. Just wanted to add my experience as it was at odds with other experiences here.
