do kit car companys make any money?

    Elaborate alittle more, as in working for them?, going into business for yourself by doing kitcars?. where do these current companys stand is what your talking about and their profits?.

    Theres a few kitcar companys out there and if they didn't make any money they probably wouldn't be in business right now. :D

    yes, going into business and making kits.


    I figure the "big" ones might do ok... Like caterham, factory five, and some of those cobra ones. It just doesnt seem like theres THAT many people wanting kit cars, how does it support so many "makers"? am i underestimating the market?

    Is there any potential there?

    You might be better off researching the market in another way first.

    Instead of building a whole car, perhaps you could build bodies for cars that are already in existence. I'm letting one of my cars get stripped down this winter and a local guy is going to make molds of the body panels. He's big into fiberglass and body work so it's a natural fit for him.
