    Hey,

This has been alluded to in a few posts, but I wanted to shout from the rooftops!

If you have an iPhone, hold off on syncing for a few days - Their servers are (once again) overloaded - I don't know if it's Apple or AT&T, but "things be bad" there right now.

    Cheers,
    Ian

Thanks for the heads up. I was all excited to get the 2.0 software too. Oh well.

it works now. I just updated my iPhone to 2.0 Software.

Btw, if we want to upgrade to the 3G iPhone model (for owners of the previous model), do we have to sign up for a new 2 year contract with AT&T? Can the current plan(s) just transfer over along with the current number etc.? The new plans are a farce; charging individually for Data & SMS is ridiculous and $70/month for 450 minutes!?!? That's just dense on the parts of the both Apple & AT&T IMO.

It is my understanding that you can't leave the store without activating a new plan. The prices are completely different if you don't activate immediately (worse than what we paid last year). Without a new 2 year deal, I think the price of the phones is ridiculous.

Yeah, I read that the new 3G's are activated at the store so AT&T can lock you into a contract now.
