No, we didn't realize that a new post would put it back at the top of the list.

My admin asst showed me some of the posts made and how she responded. We did ask her to monitor the site for a few days to see what affect (if any) this whole unfortunate situation has had on us, apart from the obvious. I am the wife of the owner so you know who is responding here.

It appears to me that, while she was really only defending us, she may have gone overboard in her responses in her efforts to defend us against what she views as a personal attack on us. While Martin and I are appreciative of her zeal and support, we can see where some of the people on this site might not appreciate it. She has been admonished from responding here unless we have been consulted first from this point forward and extend our apologies to anybody who might have been insulted or otherwise.

We only wanted to state our side of the issue and make available the facts as they happended. We never intended on getting into any heated arguments or name calling. That is just not who we are. I have asked her to monitor this site until the end of the week. I will also contact Ferrari Chat and ask to correspond with the adminstrative or moderators or whoever it is we need to seek out to remove the inflammatory heading.

We are not "awful people" as was stated in the original thread and only wanted to set the record straight. I would ask that Lenny Z not respond anymore as I have personally talked to Stewart and made him aware of what you are doing without his consent. He is not appreciative at all. If you have something to say to us, you may do so by telephone or email. In fact, i suggest you contact me personally.

Our apologies if any participant/member/subscriber or otherwise was offended or insulted by any of our statements. That was trulu not intentional.

I agree that the IMS Administrator kinda got out of hand, but what the hey, she was defending her own.
The real question in my mind is - Where is the elusive Mr. Sessions?, who threw the first punch at the bar fight and left through a back door in a real hurry.

I think he is the real BS artist here or is supremely IQ challenged in the way he bought this car, sight unseen and contracted, once again without first hand experience, for repairs across the country and then complained bitterly about how he was treated. Hard to have sympathy for any members of the Darwin Club...:)

No kidding. Some guy starts a thread bashing a company, and then they get bashed for responding. Then everybody wants the thread closed before somebody says something mean.

The real joke is the people bashing IMS for sticking up for themselves!

What are you people privy too, that eludes the rest of us and gives you the right to call out IMS, and accuse them of BS.

Please note that the originator of this thread, made his acrimonious statements and ran. To my knowledge, never posting again to substantiate his damning accusations.

Make Mr. Sessions prove his statements, which he hasn't done; only then, can you cast stones at IMS.

    You really don't get it.

Nobody really cares about Sessions or IMS. Looks like their business was done long ago. Looks like that part of this thread is over.

The only thing, after reading ALL the posts of this thread, I would fault IMS with is not keeping their customer informed and up-to-date on what was going on with the car when they had it in their possession. You would be amazed what a periodic phone call will do as far as customer goodwill. When I have had work done on a car by a shop, either across the country or across town, communication typically breaks down after the keys are handed over. Seldom does the shop call me and tell me about their progress (or lack thereof). I end up waiting....and waiting.....and waiting.....sooner or later, I break down and call them.

Most of my service work has been done by Independents. ALL of their work is/was first-rate. I have absolutely no issue at all with any of the service work performed, but.....I also know what probably set off Mr. Sessions. I have seen his car in-person, and I know what its like to deal with the funky 'schedules' and communication breakdown that occurs with Independent Exotic service work. There are, sometimes, implied expectations regarding communication and schedule that do not pan out the way we expect them to, and if you're left without your car for long periods of time, with no understanding or communication regarding service progress/schedule, this can be extremely frustrating.

You have a very valid point. And we are the first to admit it. We realize Mr Sessions was excited and wanted to get his car asap. We did the best we could given the fact that we had to rely on Mario (Seller) to receive the parts.

And he had to rely on Ferrari!

It is difficult to keep the lines of communication open, or at least up to date, when you are so busy. And yes, the customer usually does get the short end of that stick. Especially if your dealing with time differnces as well. But I don't think that any independent does that intentionally. I know we don't. Our real problem (timewise) was in the scheduling of the paintwork. We only deal with one paint shop, the one we trust. Paint shops are notorious for taking longer than they estimate and Mr Sessions transport showed up 2 days early. We know that wasn't his fault, he scheduled it for a certain day, they just got there early. And that driver wasn't about to wait. But be that as it may, we knew there would be paint issues because the paint shop wasn't ready to release the car. We were just stuck between a rock and hard place. We tried to accomodate the early pick up as we didn't want Mr Sessions to have to reschedule. We should not have done that. Thats why IMS paid for the repaint.

We thought that Mr Sessions was happy with his car, other than the lack of sill plates which, in all fairness, we did promise to give to him. We just weren't happy with products as they were produced and didn't want to send him parts WE felt were not acceptable.

From what Karl has relayed to us, he seemed very happy with the car, other than the paint work.

I guess communication broke down in both directions. We just didn't understand or see the need for Mr Sessions to to do what he did to us.

Wow, can somebody please tell me what I did to be the recipient of your obvious anger? I was under the impression that this was a public site. A site where the public can share thier opinions and views. I believe, and I could be wrong, that from the little I have learned about this forum, you don't HAVE to read anything. Especially if it makes you so upset that you feel it necessary to treat others with hostility.

We came here to calmly and in a civil manner try to respond to false accusations and find that we have been put on trial because we're not entertaining to you.

I think that other member was right, I don't get it....

Is there some limit on postings or pages of threads that we don't know about?
For some reason I'm quite sure I just left myself open for ridicule again. Oh well.

Hint - Spend more time running the business, and less time on these boards. All they end up doing is wasting your time, and you end up pissing yourself off.

Someone is mad at you? BFD, it happens. Get over it. The sooner people loose interest in this thead, the sooner it falls out of sight, and the better off you will be.

I guess a part of the scorn comes from an unequivocal statement you made very early on in this thread where you said, and I paraphrase because it's too many pages to go and find the quote, "This is the last post we will make!"

If you state something definitive, people should be able to reasonably expect you to do what you said you would. Perhaps this is a good time to keep your word and let this thread die a natural, time elapsed death.

Sorry, the issue raised has morphed into a much more civil discussion regarding Independent business practices, customer expectations, and perhaps we could all take the opportunity to just bridge the 'gap' in a more pleasant, constructive manner.....also, I have seen Mr. Sessions' car in-person, and I never knew there was anything wrong with it when it was brought off the trailer in North Charleston. It looked fairly new to me.....

Oh, and I have no funny accent - I moved here from Charleston, SC. They have a funny accent in SOUTHIE, though....

Oh yes, I went back and read the quote you are refering to. I guess thats because there were actually 3 of us here at IMS who responded at different times to the postings, that I wasn't aware of the comment. I didn't make that comment, my husband (Martin) did. And it actually was his last posting.

Now I understand why everybody keeps telling me to shut up!

Hey really this is a pretty friendly place....you don't have to 'shut up' and you can start a thread about almost anything in the proper section.....

(Except advertising your services, you'd have to be a Site Sponsor to to that....)

But really I'd weigh this thread as a good advertisement for you...you defended your position well and the Original Poster has disappeared....

But it's much like the ol' story of the tar baby, the more you smack on it the stickier and blacker you become.....I'll caution you the Internet is FULL of wise azz teenagers that love to talk back, so having the "last word' is well nigh impossible.....

But you have multimillionaire car collectors on here watching as well.........
