I recently installed front skidplates on my 99' 355 Spider. It just occured to me that I may have interferred with the underbody air flow and aerodynamics. I know that Ferrari spent many hours in the windtunnel attemting to maximize underbody airflow management. The skidplates clearly alter the original shape of the car, and therefore must impact airflow to some degree. What are your thoughts? Tim

what kind of speeds do you reach? I have some and never have compared with a car without them. Mine look stock and are body colored, never had any problems at speed.

Unless you are measuring speed in tenths of a second, the installation of skid plates won't make any difference.

I'm resisting every urge to say something but I'll hold back and simply reply.

    Does it hurt aerodynamics?

    No.
