not saying that you guys are all criminals here but no one is perfect obeying the law. don't you worry that some stuff said here is illegal. would be interested?
I'm glad you not saying that ALL of us are criminals... But, I think some ARE perfect in obeying the law... what about the pope? What laws would you suspect that he breaks? And, he MAY WELL be posting here... (I could happen!) I'm not sure that 'some stuff said here is illegal'... what, specifically, are you talking about? Examples? Mike in Kuwait
There are many long time Fchatters that are indeed on the "other side"...... But you need to really evaluate your own behavior, if you can't greet them with a smile and hand over all required personal documentation... I just spent a wonderful weekend with them riding alongside like they do for Presidential Security, and those guys were risking life and limb to help everyone have a great, safe time..... So think about that!
Check out the flashed while driving thread, That is criminal on so many levels it is not funny. Russell
From a legal perspective, it's usually best not to discuss things you've done. Period. For example, notwithstanding some technical matters, in the event you are ever involved in a crash and injure someone, attorneys may use your statements against you in a lawsuit. Police have, on occasion, used sites like this one to identify parties that have committed infractions. Discretion is always the better part of valor. Essentially, they can be admissions of guilt. CW
I have gone down in History last weekend, leading the Art Cars thru a tour of Elementary Schools........ HE ran the stop sign, the mad tight Drifter in the Honda (ahead of the Motorcycle Escort) I stopped for it.......... Know the Rules.....Follow the Rules. The car AND the driver are still in the can, he missed the whole Art Car Weekend........trying to raise Bail now, at least for the car... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have a fuzzy butt, is that the same thing? But sure, we're cheeks deep in cops here. I know a couple who hang out in the Mid-Atlantic forum. We also have Feds, present tense and retired who watch occasionally. We have prosecutors, defense attorneys, we have it all. Soo... tread lightly. DM
*fast announcer voice* "Not to be construed as specific legal advice, check all applicable codes and standards in your jurisdiction, your actual mileage and results, may vary......." ROTFLMAO!
They are still the 5-0 here in central Texas. But the little kids call em' the Po Po, as in when you get home from running to the convenience store and the 4 year old tells mom: Daddy got pulled over by the Po Po for going 70 in a 55. They told him that his car was very nice and to slow down.
As a non-US participant here, I am amazed and appalled at what I read. It won't be the economic woes that'll bring the US down. It'll be the litigous character of its' inhabitants. George Orwell was so right!
