I was just wondering.......when you're driving your Ferrari and meet another one on the road, do you acknowledge them in any way, with a thumbs up or a wave or something like that?

I know that with other sports cars, a lot of drivers acknowledge each other, I see a lot of Vette and Porsche drivers doing this. I guess it makes them feel like part of a big, exclusive community.

I'm aware of the fact that it's very rare to see another Ferrari on the road in many places, so it would probably be a rare occurrence to meet another while you're in yours.

When I had my ferrari and saw another, I would always wave and they would wave back. If I wasent in the ferrari, I would not wave.

That was something else I was wondering. So if you were to see an Alfa, Maserati, Lambo, etc., you would also acknowledge the driver.

That's something that's very rare I'm sure among owners of other cars. I doubt many Porsche drivers would wave at BMWs.

Whenever I see a fellow RX8 owner, I give acknowledgement, especially at a light.

I'll do the same when I get my Ferrari, for sure.

Same here -- and anything Italian ;)

Sometimes the guy in the Vette or Viper seem a little surprised (like I'm breaking the rules), but they almost always respond politely (and get the message that we're in the same brotherhood).

When I first started to drive my Alfa Spider I saw a BMW Z3. Thought I'ld wave as that was the habit back in the Old Country among fellow sportscar drivers (and motorcyclists of course). The BM driver did not wave back, prolly did not understand.

I waved at a Quattroporte when driving in my Buick Park Ave, the first one I'd seen in the wild. Well, I actually waved and hollered and screamed and stuck my thumb up. The guy grinned and waved back.

Sure -- I wave, but isn't there some specific Ferrari to Ferrari acknowledgement?

I know it's traditional for Porsches to flash their headlights. What's an F-car to do?

Typically, drop parts and blow smoke :D

I acknowledge anything interesting, expecially Italian cars. I have never seen a Ferrari while in mine, unless it was a club event. I don't bother with the pbugs and vettes and vipers and nsxs, there's just too many of the things around here.
