This is an interesting thread. Read every post. Insomnia has its moments. lol. 1] Why such an overwhelming percentage of 308 and 348 owners? To each is own, of course, but those were my dream Ferraris as a teen and young man (But I liked the 512BB better in the mid-engine lineup). By the time I got to looking to actually buy a Ferrari a couple of years ago, all Ferraris of that era seemed hopelessly dated to me. Especially the interiors. I wanted as modern a Ferrari as I could afford. So, I decided to get the traditional front engine v12 in the traditional red and tan, and to get a 456M GTA, since it would be an easy f-car to acclimate to. Couldn't be happier. The thing is comfortable, reliable, and so beautiful that it draws crowds. Tooling around in traffic is easy and stress free with the auto, and it's fantastic on long trips. 2] Why do so many guys keep one Ferrari for so many years? I like many Ferrari models, and want to work... I mean play my way through several models. Like, about every two to three years. So, I'm already thinking of selling the 456M (Now that I've made it perfect for the next owner. lol), to enjoy the 360 Modena experience. I'm sure it will be less comfortable, but now that I have my, "Ferrari Feet" (I picked up the 456M wearing Nikes: I had to drive it home in my stocking feet because the pedals are so close together), I want a three pedal car. I can see only keeping that for about three years before I move into a 612 Scaglietti, and then a 430, &c. I would get bored with the same Ferrari for so long when there are so many great Ferrari models! Cheers, George
