Do you go on early AM or PM drives just to drive?

Yes, but not as often as before because lately I've been watching the gas mileage.. 8mpg isn't good.

 

Yes! And I drag the whole New York Tri-State crew with me on them.

Nothing like red-linking on a wide-open road. Can't deal with weaving in and out of traffic. Besides being dangerous, higher probability of being called in (which we have).

Mmmm, the beauty of an early morning jaunt.

 

Sunday moring I was up at 6:30 AM washed the car and did a 200 mile road trip to Bear Mt. twisties, headed home before all the idiots got on the road .

 

Dusk is my favourite time, except for the bugs all over the front of the car!

Always a bit conscious of disturbing my neighbours in the early morning...

i did this when i lived in NY, when i had my Saturn (the Sebring isn't as sporty, if you can believe that)... My whole weekend (every weekend) was based on and around two or three really awesome drives... Here's what happened...


Friday night, after work, i chill out... Friday night's a big night for folks to go out, so cops are out there, too... No go for the thrill ride on the parkway... Maybe i'd rent some movies or whatever, i don't know, but i would stay up really late - on purpose... anywhere from 3-6 in the morning (maybe squeeze a light run in there before hitting the sack). Then i'd go to bed and wake up late Saturday afternoon... i'd putz around, maybe go to the mall or whatever, rent some videos and veg out Saturday night... but come 4AM Sunday morning, i'd be outside, starting my car, warming it up (in the winter)... 15 minutes later, i'm slowly making my way through the local area, destination: Parkway...

Once i got to the parkway, it was all down hill from there... If i was fast enough i'd do the same run twice, or come back, take a different route, finish that route and then do the first one over again... i lived for early Sunday mornings before the sun came up...

I do both early and twliight drives though I have to be careful on the back country roads as the deer are moving at the same time My favorite road is back behind my house where the road runs along a river which is at the center of a gorge - its narrow but the sound echoing off the rock masses and hills is awesome

I take my 300zxTT out early morning/late night all the time and just go drive out to the coast down pacific coast highway in california. Always a good time!

 

You bet! In fact most of the miles I put on my car were during extended drives late at night to no where in particular.

I love Ferraris but I dislike being the center of attention, so late night drives fit me best.
