i was looking at a G today from a authorized lambo dealer, i have some question for you guys, the G that I'm looking a has a clear carfax report, i have done the ppi on this car with no problem. the paint on the body of the car was checked and seems to be okay with no new paint job,

how ever The front bumper does look like it was repainted at some point but dealer claim that: so is every other front bumper on their pre-owned cars, it’s very common. These cars sit so low to the ground that the front bumpers get rock chips very easy and many clients have the bumpers repainted in order to fix it.

i would like your hear what you guys think about this. will you guys feel comfortable to buy a car with repainted bumper?

    please help, thanks.!!

I've had my front bumper repainted 3x's in 27k miles. A good job means that it is very hard to tell. I've also had the windshield replaced never for chips or cracks, but they do get a lot of small pitting when driving high speeds. Btw this was on a Ferrari not a Lambo. I would as suggested above make sure nothing else is wrong.

errr, see description to the right? Oil leak coming from the oil pump shaft. Worst case is a new oil pump.
Worse is the front shock, those are expensive buggers

Those of you repainting with frequency - do you not have a type of paint protection film on your car? It's surely cheaper and causes less stress to any potential buyers at resale time (as evidenced by this thread)...

Miura Jota - once or twice a year? Seriously?

Actualy the front shock is not that bad, there is no reason to buy a new one. Plenty of places available now to just "rebuild" it at a fraction of the cost.

8 out of 10 times, it is not even an issue witht he "shock". It is a house connection leaking at the shock connection or the seal has ruptured..it just seems it easy for "Service Dept's" to sell you a new one other then a "qucik" repair of the exiating one.

The #M or venture shield products can yellow over age. Depending on some colors, the application will not sit well for looks with the rest of the car.

Re-spray is not an issue at all if it done with the correct PPG product by a quailified house and documented.

Almost like telling your "girlfriend" to keep her Bra on in bed...LOL

the front trunk light: light in the trunk works but it had fallen out of it's holder.

does that tell you any thing?

I have repainted my 2006 front fascia 2x in 5 years.

Not a fan of the clear shield products in most cases, since any big rock or minor mishap messes the clear shield up AND the paint and repair cost doubles to R&R the shield and do paint work.

The cost to repaint a front fascia is comparable to clear shield and no clear shield looks as good as nice paint.

The clear bras take rocks like a mofo without showing any damage. When I first had a car without one, almost each time I'd go out on a drive, I'd find a tiny little chip somewhere.

After the clear bra, I literally have zero chips. In one car, I have a little nick out of the clear bra in one place where a large rock nailed it but it didn't get down to the paint. That is after 10,000+ miles with the clear bra on that one. Well worth the cost.

You don't care. If you have a rock chip so what. You don't give a sh*t. You have no regard for rock chips whatsoever... EWW YOU'RE EATING A SNAKE!

For those ignorant of the crazy nastyass honey badger, who doesn't give a sh*t, here you go...

The front trunk light casing is very fragile. It's common for the housing to break on one side. The housing slips off and is lost. The front tub comes out for routine maintenance (a proper coolant flush means draining the front radiators which are accessible under the tub. The tub has a the light in it so often, mechanics will forget to push it out before pulling the tub. There's your answer for the missing/broken/dislodged case. PS it's an Audi part!
