if the answer is "yes, I do", this might be a clue:

I spke with Motor Sport S.p.a. (perhaps the most respected and experienced F-dealer in Italy) and they confirmed me that the 550 3 spokes airbag wheel perfectly fits the F355. They have already fitted it on a bunch of F355 and it works flawlessy. The complete steering wheel costs about 600euro and the airbag about 1300euro.

$2600.00US!! And that's probably w/o the labor, too. That's a Tubi. Wonder if the 360 wheel will fit

Yes - I think the 360 wheel is better looking than the 550 wheel. Does anyone know if it also fits?

Are all the wheels the same diameter though? The 355 one is quite big, so a smaller wheel could obscure the instruments, and on F1s the paddles might not be in the right place relative to the wheel.

I came from a Ferrari 67 GTC and a 61GTE - to my 355 Spider - and the steering wheel is perfect from my point of view - my vintage F-cars had a hoola-hoop as a steering wheels - darn things were so big you got arm cramps from the stretch to reach the 3/9 position. And need I mention the power steering by "armstrong" in the older cars - was a workout without going to the gym...

There are a few things I would change before the steering wheel - like:

I would rather take that 2.6K and spend it on a pair of Sparco Milano Leather Race Seats - the stock seats are not as comfortable as I have found in the 360's or 550's...

I would spend the 2.6K and re-engineer the poorly designed electronic convertible top

Spend the 2.6K putting hydrolic lifters in the car - so you can hit a switch and raise the car 2 inches - so you do not have to worry about those low curbs :)

Spend 2.6K making it chain driven rather than belt - so we don't have to do engine out services - ok that may be more than 2.6K - how about an access door behind the seats to get to the belts instead ;)

Other than that I don't think I could have done better myself in making a perfect car :p

Try driving an older Mercedes SL - from the 348 to the 380SL is like driving a bus...

Having said that, the 355 wheel could be nicer - the Euro '95 355 wheel is nice.

    Cheers
    Kevin

I agree the '95 pre-airbag wheel is the pick of the bunch.
