I have 6 or 7 people still in my phone contact list that have passed yet I just can't seem to press the delete icon, which makes no logical sense but I can't bring myself to do it.

    Anyone else have this problem?

One of my best friends from high school, died of cancer a couple years ago. Not sure if any others, but yeah at least the one. Phone probably belongs to someone else now.

Coincidentally, I noticed just today the contact for a friend who died from Covid in 2020. I didn't delete the contact.

    I do not think so.

I have not had a friend die since I was about 30 ( 3 prior to turning 30), and that was 37 years ago. I may have their numbers in my old black book, but they never made it to the era of cell phones and email. I don't think any of the folks I did business with that would be in my cell phone have passed, but I also stopped doing that work about 8 years ago and have lost touch with most of my old business contacts.

Yes. Multiple. And I know it doesn't make sense, but I keep the contact and texts.

Yes, when they passed I sent a RIP text. I like to look at that text occasionally.

I have several family members and friends still in my phone including their texts. I have also saved several of my dad's voicemails which I do listen to from time to time. It's good to hear his voice.

I do. I actually look back on their old texts every now and then, just to remind myself of what we would talk about.

I still have my son’s old voice messages. Haven’t listened to them in a while. Maybe I will soon.

If you really want a mind fucc, I did delete my buddy from Facebook (even though I never go there) but didn't delete him from my contacts. I don't know what to even say about that.

Work emails contacts when I updated them last had deceased and retired people, it is sobering to think how time marches on when we are on the treadmill of life.

Personal phone contacts, only a couple of deceased, I keep them just as a memory, I just hope they don’t call…

I do in my favorites tab with two individuals that made a serious, positive mark in my life and left way too soon.

What do you do? Facebook locked me out of my son’s account.

we won't remove posts, but that's never requested. we'll just do them a favor turn off notifications. if I know the user or do a quick search I'll try to reference something nice for them. I won't give them access to read PM's etc, but if they have their email access then they could figure that out on their own.

Personally I wouldn’t care, being dead and gone. But I’m positive my son brought the drugs that killed him from a Facebook buddy. Facebook didn’t care. His page is still there, but I can’t read his messages. I don’t care anymore. That was ten years ago.
