I am looking at two 2004 360 spider (six speed manual) in TDF blue (one tan on natural). One has 13,000 miles and four previous owners, the other 6,000 with two owners. The first is being sold by Marshall Goldman in Ohio (VIN:ZFFYT53A540135512) The other is by Marino Performance Motors in West Palm Beach Florida (VIN:ZFFYT53A540137292) Has anyone owned either of these cars? If so, any issues? I have Carfax reports, and will do a PPI if I proceed but wanted to reach out to see if anyone has had firsthand experience with either the cars or dealers. I prefer the blue exterior but also looking at traditional red. I own an '84 308 QV and fulfilled my childhood fantasy of owning that car. Now I am selling that and want something with more power. Always loved the looks of the 360, even more than the 430.
Curious what you find. I don't know either car firsthand, but I've made offers on both of those cars, each of which has been listed for quite a few months. In my opinion, each is asking quite a lot over market, hence whyy they are not selling. Both finally recently lowered their asking price by a few thousand dollars. Marino is a relatively new dealership. I spoke to a couple of people who had bought cars there, and they seemed to have OK experiences. Not very negotiable, but maybe 2-4 percent. There are a couple of Ferrari shops in the area, one of which has a relationship with Marino. Definitely get a PPI. Marshall Goldman has a very good reputation but also seems to ask a premium.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll let you know how it turns out. Did you end up picking up a 360 elsewhere or are you still looking?
My 308 is red / tan. I love that combo and like it in the 360 but the blue really look good on that car IMO. I agree the prices listed are aspirational and I don't think the prices for these have bottomed yet, so time is not their friend.
One other question I had was for F-chatters that have owned both a 308 and a 360. I know they are different cars in terms of performance, etc. But does the 360 still stir the soul like the 308. Not sure if moving ahead to a more modern car loses some of the connection to the road/car a 308 has. Is it the classic aspects that make these cars great or just the fact that they are Ferrari's that gets under your skin?
Went from 308 to 360 and never looked back. In two years drove the 360 6,000 miles. In five years drove the 308 7,000 miles. Much safer (better brakes and air bags) and much more comfortable to drive. You really feel that you can just keep driving... You still enjoy the feel of the road bigtime!!!
I know the owner of the 2nd car. Lives here in Jupiter and is a dentist. Recently serviced and I think new tires. clean car as far as I know. Have you contacted Marino Motors yet? PM to me.
