I need some help. Looking at performance boats narrowing them down to a few manufactures. Don't want to debate whom is the best, looking at Donzi, Formula, Baja and perhaps Fountains in the 33' to 36' range. Made differently in some respects and appearance, however they share Merc engines in differing size options and drives from what I've seen. Can anyone share some practical experience with these engines i.e. What types have greater reliability and/or maint. issues. If you've owned one in the past, or what to look out for.

Any websites or other boating forum are welcome too.

    TIA

Edit: FYI- looking used 1998-2003 my, boat will be in fresh water on a 12000 lb lift

    Cat's are great !!

    This is one I'm selling.
I've driven it a several times. It will easily do 90+ mph in it's current single engine configuration but can accomodate two engines.
