That I understand. My point is that I know of a number ex Ferrari owners that are Concours Judges at Cavallino, Pebble Beach etc. They've owned many Ferraris over the years, but at this time for one reason or another don't own one. They will own one again in the future.

Those people should not be considered in the same catagory as the high school or college age kid that hangs out here with dreams of someday owning a Ferrari. Or the guy that is afraid to pull the trigger for various reasons.

It is a shame to group together a guy that paid his dues, with the people that either can't afford it or are afraid too because something may go wrong.

I'm surprised by the results. Are all you non-owners just not answering? I'm a non-owner. Never had one. I will one day. Maybe more than one.

Come on, non-owners. Help this guy get some accurate results.

 

Naturally, since this is the honor system, can we really know if the "yes" votes are from actual owners?

Maybe Chris should have conceived a way to have a VIN inserted.

Seems to have pretty much held steady the whole time at 1/3 no, 2/3 yes. Interesting to see if it stays that way.

Any stats on how many of those 40,000+ members are active? Say, who have posted at least one message in the past month.

 

Very, very roughly, 5,000 have visited in the last 24-48 hours, 10,000 have visited in the last 12-14 days, 15,000 have visited in the last 2 months (since March 24), 20,000 have visited in the last 5 months (since mid-December '06)

I suspect a large number of non-owners are not voting.
