I love my 296 and it’s a wonderful car. It’s not a forever car sadly. It likely won’t be a car that hold up over time either. The only car I miss is my 812 SF. That car has timeless looks, sound and a soul.
Raw means "drives like sh*t on public roads". But to answer the question, I definitely preferred my 296 GTB over my F8. Very excited about my 296 GTS arriving (whenever that is).
Correct, I haven't owned 296. I have driven it on multiple occasions. And dismissed allocations twice. You can say I know what I want, looking for Glad to hear you prefer 296. Enjoy!!
I agree the 812SF was the perfect car- it has it all- sight, sound, excitement and comfort( it just was missing the open motoring roof)Of all the regular production cars I’ve had I regret selling that the most. The GTS I loved but it was a less perfect car- a tad odd looking from a couple of angles and did not fit my 6’2” frame as well-made it too uncomfortable for longer trips and it annoyed me immensely as I thought that was to be my forever car. Little did I know the SF was THE ONE. No 12C Spider until I can actually sit in the damn thing and find it as comfortable as the SF- if not- then it may be back to an SF(pre filter) or if the 296S is comfortable it may be the other option. My days of “raw” cars and sport bikes is over and I am fine with it. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I think the 296 is perfect and the driving experience is unbelievable. I love driving my 296 so much that I rarely drive my 992 Manual touring. It would definitely be one of the last cars I would get rid of out of all of my 12 cars. F8 doesn’t even come close to it and I even prefer it over my Pista. I think with your Lambo and the GT3 the 296 perfectly fits into this group as it is completely different to the other two cars.
