Oh do I remember! I was fairly young (13?) and my Dad and I were paying a visit to Algar Ferrari. When we got there we chatted with the owner (Bob Segal) for quite some time looking at various Ferraris and Maseratis (Challenge Stradale, 575, 355, etc.) until he told me to follow him downstairs. We were walking down the stairs, and as I am going down the stairs I notice a big window to my right. Naturally I look through the window only to see the massive wing of something I had only read about in books, none other than the almighty F50!! I was at a loss for words, the only thing I could say is F50... That is one day I will surely never forget....especially since I have pictures on my other computer :D

What turned on my Love for Ferraris, particularly the F50 was a book I would always read at my best friends house when I was about 8 or 9. It was simply called Classic cars. Looking back I don't know why as there were many modern cars in it as well. I still remember the day I first laid eyes on the F50. I was flipping through the pages for the first time admiring the F40. Then as turned the page there is a beautiful picture of an F50 staring me directly in the eyes. I just couldn't take my eyes off this beautiful car and I was determined to know everything about it. From that time on my life has never been the same, I live eat and breath Ferraris and I always will. I still look at the book every once in a while to look at the picture that changed my life.

Gentlemen - the root word of SITING is SITE. ;)

He is asking about the first time you SAW a supercar, not the first time you planted your behind inside one.

Of course for some that occurrence may be one in the same, but that's not his question the way it was worded.

The first time I saw a supercar that I can recall was when I was about 9 years old, it was a red Lamborghini Countach that belonged to the owner of a local car dealership and it was parked in the shopping center where my dad would take me to get my hair cut. Later that summer my grandmom made me a t-shirt with an embroidered Countach on the front. My passion for the cars really kicked off when I was about 13 though - that was circa 1988.

First one I saw was a red F50 backing out of a parking spot right in my hometown, back in the day. I was pretty much in disbelief; my dad didn't buy it either when I told him.

First super car I saw in person was a F40 in deap Elem in Dallas in the early 90's. It was sitting in front of a resturant next to a 512 TR. They had matching "His" and "Her's" plates. It was great, my Dad was more into it that me so that was neat..

Not a "supercar" necessarily. When I was 3 years old I saw a neighbors Testarossa cruise by the house. So that was somewhere around 1985 or so. I don't think he drove it much. :(

F40 was my first one too, it was on the ferrari stand at the UK motor show. I was young and would have seen a few supercars that day but that is the one i remember.

It was 1986 or 87 and this was in Richardson, TX. My family and I were waiting in the back of a Target parking lot while my mother was inside picking something up. As we wait, a Countach approaches and the guy parks in the back of the parking lot away from everyone. The gentleman who was no older than 35 got out and walked in. Tons of people gravitated towards the thing. Mind you this was back when the term exotic was a little less liberally used. He was back in just a couple of minutes and he nodded to everyone around and got in and drove off.

I remember sitting there wondering how his life, home, and lifestyle must differ compared to all the "commoners." This guy was driving what was usually only seen on posters. Very cool and I won't forget it. Magical.

A while ago my girlfriend, who worked in West Richland, WA and I were driving on the freeway when I noticed a car getting close behind me. At first I thought it was a Diablo. My girlfriend took this picture with here cell phone. When we got home I did some research and found out it was a SSC Aero.

My first super car siting was in 2000 or so. I was a sophomore in highschool on a trip to Australia. One night, some class mates and I went for a walk on the streets and found a Ferrari dealer. On the show room floor was a yellow F50. Second supecar sighting would be when I had my 355 in for service. There was an F40 being restored on the rack next to me.

I am barring countachs/diablos/gallardo/murci/328/348/550/575/etc from this, but I believe these are the only 2 'supercars' I have seen in person.

Edit: I lied, I also seen a S7, and CGT on the road, but I hate to say it, their presence cant touch that of the 2 ferraris.

First F-car was in 1978, and it was my friend's dad who owned a 1978 308 GTB. I got to ride in it, but had to share the passenger seat with my freind. We were both 6 years old, so we reluctantly "fit".

    First Supercar?

On display in Valley Forge Pennsylvania Exotic Car show, was Bob Norwood's Twin Turbo 288 GTO that was prepped for high speed runs on the Bonneville Salt Flats. I saw my first Gemballa Porsche that day, as well.

    It was 1989 or so.

My 1st siting, for what was a true supercar for that period, was when I was 9 or 10 years old.
A Ferrari Testarossa, my very first.

My 1st ride was about at that age, on a Mondial Quattrovalvole.

If I can tell a significant experience behind the steering wheel, of the many I had as a driver, well... There's no match.
Zonda F and Zonda Roadster F. Forever and ever.

No, siting would be the first time somebody situated a supercar to a site. If this is about one's first supercar sighting, I would have to go the silver Diablo I tried to follow when I first got my learner's permit... didn't last long ;)
