I'm not convinced any of the cars on eBay are real. I highly doubt that Ferrari has gone to the internet to sell these cars...

    Ferrari denies cash crisis
Beleaguered Ferrari has played down suggestions of a cash crisis at Maranello.
Despite major backer Vodafone's impending Dollars 40m a-year switch to McLaren, and carmaker Fiat's lesser support, principal Jean Todt grinned - at the Ferrari Christmas party in Italy - that the team "had never had so much".

The Frenchman told: "Vodafone went to our competitor because we couldn't give them everything they wanted."

And, even though tobacco advertising bans are sweeping Europe, Todt revealed that the new Philip Morris (Marlboro) deal is "larger" than in the past. It is also a fact that Ferrari's 2008 'Concorde Agreement' deal involves substantially more money.

There is not enough revenue from the sale of FXX's on Ebay to fix any cash problem that Ferrari may have. Which I doubt anyway. Ferrari has many revenue sources, when Vodaphone leaves, another sponsor will rush to fill in the gap. Marlboro renewed their sponsorship despite the tobacco ban.

The dealership in Boynton Beach, Florida, that is selling an FXX on Ebay is for real. They do have a showroom. Whether or not they can actually produce a car after the sale is another issue. I would guess the price is so high, they do not believe anyone will pay the price of admission, so it provides the dealership with easy cheap advertising.

No, Ferrari is not behind the FXX sales on Ebay. I would think it actually is annoying to them.

I think this whole " Loyalty-list and non sale agreement " is BS .

Some Enzo owners were almost first time Ferrari owners when they got their Enzo and how many have been sold withing their first year of ownership ?

Ferrari has got to stop BS pple who are cashing out 700k$..

I can't really find a reason why Ferrari should sell FXX cars on e-Bay.

I think that the owners of the FXX are guilty. They have the money but they haven't seen the car before in real life and they already bought it. For some kinda reason they don't like the car or it's too expensive for maintenance. I think that those cars are more expensive than you should think. Same for the Enzo

And you can't drive the FXX on public roads, which is another possible reason for selling the car.

That's what I think of it...

I think part of it is to encourage repeat customers. If Ferrari will only sell the FXX to customers who have bought several other Ferraris, it will encourage the wannabe FXX owners to buy Ferraris so that they can be on the list for the next Super Ferrari.

I have no reason to believe any of the FXX's "for sale" actually are.

Sort of, to qualify for an invitation to buy an enzo, you had a meet Ferrari's criteria, i.e you had to have already been a significant Ferrari customer and hence should have owned or still own multiple Ferrari's

Isn't the FXX more than just a car? I thought the deal was the car plus 12 track events (4 in Europe, 4 in US, 4 in Japan) complete with F-driver training and telemetry, the whole nine yards. You are even supposed to get a custom driving suit. The idea was that you became part of the Ferrair "team" and they were going to use all the input to assist in future development.

This plan makes since to me. If you have the cash, the experience is beyond measure. And for Ferrari, knowing what Schumacher does on a track is a whole different thing than looking at some ham-fisted slack-jaw like me. But the guys with the money are probably closer to my talents (or lack thereof) than his...

I can see how you could resell the car, but not the rest of it.
