I am very interested to buy an LP560-4 beside my 599 ... do you think this it will be a compliment or a duplicate? if it is a duplicate, what would you suggest? I need a pure exotic car ... the 599 is a classy, stylish, super fast GT.

    Thanks in advance.

    Whats wrong with the Scud?

I think that would be the perfect compliment to your 599.

    For two reasons:

    1- I had an MY07 F430
2- Scud price is much higher than the LP560 while performace of the LP560 is better or atleast the same

I do not know, but I guess the LP560 is a better looking car than the Scud.

Why do you think LP has better performance then Scuderia?
The latter has better acceleration and is much more stable at high speed (Lambo has very little downforce at speed vs Ferrari's very high)
Also,a Scud may be more expensive initially but being a limited production (unlike LP) will retain much better resale value in a longer term.

This is a test that proves that the LP560 is faster (although by a fraction):

I do not know, I love the Scud but do not feel I will have a change from my previous F430 which I have sold 2 months back! its like being in the same car. Also, Scud is mainly a track car and not very suitable for roads because of the dis-comfort, loudness of the exhaust, not much of entertainment...etc.

With the LP560, you get the look, luxury & speed ... nevertheless, for sure it will not hold its value as the F430 specially that I did not loose much on the car I sold.

I've driven a 599 and Gallardo spyder. IMO, they are totally different. The 599 is a super comfortable grand tourer. The Gallardo spyder (and, I suspect, the LP560) is an Italian hot rod -- -- not as refined as the 599 but, IMO, a great deal more pure fun. It's shorter wheelbase and midship engine gives you a whole different experience from the 599. Also, the Gallardo make some great exhaust sounds (especially downshifting the E-Gear). Whether you would like the Lambo given that you already have the best GT in the world -- -- only you can decide.

What a great problem you have. Be sure to enjoy every minute of solving it.

    Best regards,
    George

How do you define what a pure exotic is?

For me a pure exotic is embodied by the 2000 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 in Orange with Black Interior and Orange Stitching. But I think it varies from person to person, some might say Zonda, or Murcielago LP640 Roadster but keeping your budget in mind....(roughly) the 6.0 would be a cool choice as you save a bundle or a Porsche Carrera GT might be doable within your budget.

Btw I really think the LP 560 is a great looking car but I can't accept the fact that alot of it is made in Germany, I want my exotics to be Italian through and through but thats just me. Goodluck and post pics when you decide :)

    Salam,

During my extensive search on the web, I saw an interview with Lambo'CEO Winkelmann and he stated clearly that the both LPs are 100% made in Italy and 90% of his employees are Italian (although he is German).

The LP640 is diffenatily a choice ... but for some reason, I feel the car is not civilised and from the old days which is before Audi comes in and puts some enhancement and realibility specially to the interior. The LP640's interior is below the standard for such price you pay, if you look to the 599, every penny you pay you get somthing in return ... oh I REALLY LOVE THE 599 ... Thanks to Allah that I own one :D

I have spent time in 430 Scud, 430 coupe and spider and 599. Firstly the Scud is a much rawer car than the standard 430, there isnt much they share in common, am talking from a point of view of how they feel.

The Scud will be more extreme the the Lambo, of that I have no doubt and personally I feel the Lambo wont be able to match the thrill of the Scud.

I say 430 Scud: its a stripped out racer, the 599 is a super GT, thats a definate contrast and thats what would make them for me the best combination, the Lambo good as it probably is is a little too far on the luxury GT side of things.

    Tough one..

I guess its all down to what makes you feel most comfortable. Personally, I would go for a Scud, but that's because Im a Ferrarifreak.. If I have to be objective, I would have to say lp-560. You have the same performance, for a hell-eva lot less moneywise..

You should drive both and will find out...

The LP560 will handle more like a GT (all the weight, AWD...). The Scuderia on the other hand will handle like a sports car (laps Fiorano in the same time as the Enzo), but you can set it up to be very comfortable too (softest suspension setting)... The BEST of both worlds...

The 560 has a more "pure" shape than the Scuderia for sure but the shape of the Scuderia is optimized from the 430 for downforce...

By the way, the Scuderia is much better than the F430...

    Best.

Unfortunately, there is not really a limited production on the Scuderia: I saw a ton being made at the factory :-( (at least 1/3 of the V8 assembly chain)...

    No.

The LP560-4, in addition to being 43 less, will make the 599 look like a Pontiac Aztec.

For all their faults, the Gallardos are lean, taut, and beautifully styled.

Have you ever sat in a Gallardo or any Lamborghini?

For me the driving position is too reclined and the view out is poor. Ferrari is so much better in terms of ergonomics.

Ferrari has far more experience making road cars and winning races. How many different Lambo street cars have there been compared to Ferrari. How many Le Mans, F-1 races have Lamborghini won compared to Ferrari. Theres is a reason the driving position in a Ferrari is what it is. It is better. On the track or on the street.
