Personally, I will not (Just got one with my new cell phone and really like it for driving), but see tons of people that do. I also see a lot of these headsets with major 'bling factor', i.e.: blinking lights, diamond studs (fake), etc. Is it 'Cool' to wear these headsets in public?

I always see people wearing them around. I was in a coffee shop and there were about 5 people with them on.

I don't like wearing them at all. I'm thinking of getting a bluetooth car kit for hands free in the car.

About a week ago there was a lady pacing back an forth on a street corner and she was screaming about someone and money. I thought she was nuts until I realized she had a headset that was being hidden by her hair.

I only wear mine when I'm driving and that's it because I don't want to get pulled over by talking on the phone while driving. Its also the time when I get a lot of phone calls. Don't know why.

I use the actual phone in public.

I cannot stand when people wear these in public. They look like freaking switchboard operators.

People have so little etiquette with these things...............I just love being forced to listen to someone's side of a conversation when they feel they need to speak loudly for whatever reason. Keep it in your car or keep it in your office, or better yet - just keep it at home.

I remember eating lunch at Wendy's one day where an elderly couple were enjoying their lunch. Some clown gets a phone call on his bluetooth and is talking loud enough where he is talking over everyone in the entire restaurant, you couldn't not hear him. The elderly guy gets up, walks over to him, and absolutely blasts him - I mean to the point where he looked like he was ready to fight this guy. The clown got off the phone immediately.............the elderly gentleman deserved a round of applause - it was beautiful!

I, for one, would not lose one minute of sleep if cell phones just completely ceased to exist. I think being in public was more enjoyable prior to their existence. People are so much more focused on what is taking place elsewhere than what is going on right in front of them.

No I won't. I'll keep it in my pocket until there's a call or I need to call out. Love that beer commercial where the guy thinks the hot chick is asking him to "come over and hang out".

It's a godsend in the airport when you're pulling your bags along.

Well personally, I think when I wear it in the car, I had to kinda speak little louder for the person to hear me. Now that's in the privacy of my own. But thinking that I have to use the same method obviously for my phone calls, I'd rather use the actual phone in person so I can talk in the Down Low.

I got Verizon's new LG Razor type cell phone (Very nice phone) for $79 with a 2-year re-up on my contract. The Bluetooth headset was $75 (VERY small, about 1.5 inches long X about 3/4 inches wide. Cheap technology! The voice command feature on it works pretty good, about 90% accurate. I'm sure my dog will find the headset on my desk some day soon and eat it!

I was hoping my new LS had integrated bluetooth, but alas it didn't. I looked at car kits, and didn't like the look. I'll pick up a headset for car-only use.

Not only is it not cool, it's MAJORLY uncool. Tacky and low-class. Absolutely hate people who walk around with these on their ears all day. They all look like idiots.

Would never wear one in public, it is funny when people wear them on Sunday at Home Depot as if they are awaiting some important call. I just don't understand.

I used to use a wired headset in the car, but way too much wind noise in convertibles.

Anybody have good success with a bluetooth "earing" in spiders? Not that I can hear the phone ring or feel it vibrate when driving in the 348 - so guess it'd just be for calling out.

As in the Lexus LS...I thought that bluetooth was standard...maybe you need to get the nav system option pack to get it.

Anyhow, I hate, hate, hate these things. Kids, and I do mean kids, maybe thirteen years old wear them now-a-days. I think to myself how the f important could you be that you need to be connected at all times when you are thirteen years old. Have seen people wear these things everywhere, lavatory at the Joe Louis Arena (ok thats just wierd), doctor's offices, a few weeks back there was a guy wearing one at church even.

I have one that I have not used in years. I had bluetooth built into the STS, and have it currently built into the car that I am currently driving (Chrysler calls it U-Connect) and when that lease is up in December my next car will have it built in too. It never felt comfortable on my ear and I always thought that it made me look like a tool.

Ive been known to wear it in public as some of you may have seen me with it,

But, normally I do it so I can type on the phone while their talking to me, has made a difference, other wise, hold it up to my ear

Well, if you have to ask...

Actually, I've noticed a trend in the types of guys (yes-a majority of them are being displayed by men) who walk around with these things on. They tend to fit the doofus mold pretty well. It reminds me of the time when cell phones started taking off and people flaunted them like some sort of technological status symbol.
