Im getting heaps of SPAM to at the moment, very annoying, but i suppose I can get Viagra cheap as and home loans for 0.00003% and so on.

 

I recommend a piece of software called Spam Bully. Clever filtering system that reliably removes 99% of spam and doesn't catch legitimate emails.

 

i get about 30-40 a day on my home email, but that's gmail and it has a spam stopper which get's 99.5% of them correct. funnily enough it once picked up a newsletter from google as being spam...

I must have something similar, as I get hardly any. Maybe once or twice a week.

 

stop signing up to porn sites with your email addy and it won't happen.....

Thats what I tell my mum everytime she rings and says "why do I get so much of this junk mail...?"

Gmail is pretty good at keeping the spam out, but i still get the ****.. drives me crazy seeing all the spam messages..

 

Rarely get spam from home accounts. get a fair bit from gmail, tho luckly it gets caught.

My domain they tend to spam the admin@etc email address and I never use that, soo spam away

 

For some reason my emails always go into other peoples spam filters. So for that reason, I dont use a spam filter. I would hate to miss an important email.

 

I'd like to claim the record for "most spam deleted in a 48 hour period" - since Tuesday evening I've been fixing badly configured/maintained servers and have deleted somewhere north of half a million emails

On the positive side.... that's half a million emails that other people didn't get, since they were all removed from mailserver delivery queues

FWIW the increase over the last few days is probably due to a new exploit which utilises a Windows security flaw that had a patch available as of last Tuesday...

at least with spam u get a response, bit like ordering daytona discs and getting nothing..................what does one expect in a real world
