I wonder if u guys worry about driving your FF as a DD.... I am driving my FF everywhere and all the time so that I can enjoy it to the max.... Some of my friends are reluctant ... They are worried about getting it scratched, or putting more mileage on the car .... What do u think ?

I drive mine everywhere, at every opportunity and enjoy every mile. I've been lucky and never had any issues in three and a half years of daily driving, but if it gets damaged, I'll get it repaired, just like any other car. Just drive it and enjoy it. Life's too short! :)

I drive everywhere that will be enjoyable to me. It's a matter of miles vs. your assets overall. High assets, high miles, no problem. Lower assets, miles matter more. Depreciation will happen no matter what. Miles matter a small percentage in the end, as does build, assuming you're not doing 15,000 a year. RickL and others are over that ... they seem happy about it.

Paint can be touched up. It's not a show car it's a drivers car.

Bottom line, if you can't afford the hit don't buy the car ! (so says the guy driving 130 miles a month lol) And if you have the car ... you can afford to drive it more than a little.

I worried for the first few weeks but now i don't care. Such a good car it's a waste of a great life experience to leave it at home. Plus I enjoy cleaning it!

If anything I think it's a better deal to use it and pay the depreciation (whatever it might be...minor or major) than to not use it and pay some percentage of that depreciation anyway...

We use ours as much as possible. My wife uses it to bring the kids to school (which is a nice 15 mile drive, actually....unless you get behind a school bus). It's fun to drive, and actually "safe"....especially now that my wife has been to several advanced driving courses!

I will admit that we are anal about our cars -we keep them clean. If we're driving into the city, we usually take the Fiat or Cayenne.....simply because it's a war zone (potholes, taxis) and traffic is brutal. We will park in store lots, but we take a bit of care in terms of things like runaway shopping carts - but we're like that with all our cars I guess.

I can empathize for those more cautious; it's still staggering to spend this much on a car, but we've gotten over it and now just enjoy the miles we drive. All cars depreciate, might as well enjoy every bit of it. If you're afraid of a low resale amount, you're not going to enjoy any high end car. For us, it's a hobby.

The car just too good to drive to let it sit....

If everyone would just drive their damn cars then milage would matter less. The only reason miles matter is because there is low milage examples out there. we did this to ourselves. People think their car will be the next big collector model. They are Ferraris drive them. All of them. Every model.

Easier said than done. True, but easier said than done. Driving them 3500 a year minimum would be nice.

Some cars are just waiting to be sold, like the few 458 Aperta out there. I wouldn't drive that one either ...
