Can any doctors tell me what they know about Cyclobenzaprine? Is it similar to Thorazine?
Ahem.....if I can, as I am not a Doc, but a chemist, so can only contribute this much, which may/may not interest you. Both have polycyclic aromatic rings, with added functional groups. Translation: probable cancer causing.....
In a nutshell- No similarities between the two in terms of drug effect... Chlorpromazine (Thorazine) is an old school antipsychotic that is rarely used anymore. Cyclobenazpine (Flexeril) is a muscle relaxer typically given for injuries involving pulls, strains, etc. Can you be more specific as to what your looking for?
