I know I ask a lot of questions....wondering if you get your 355 engine rebuilt do you get some kind of warrant other than labor? I was wondering because I have seen some threads where people have had there engine rebuilt or ones for sale that have. So a guy pays 25-35k for an engine rebuild does he get 3 years or 35,000 miles or if 2000 miles later it throws a rod bearing or drops a valve is he SOL? Of course there are variables but I'm talking about a stock 355 not tracked no ecu tune that eliminates the rev limiter.

It depends on the shop. Most do. FNA dealers do. The extent of the warranty can vary a lot and needs to be discussed when you sign up for the job.

A big part of it can be who parts are sourced from. Ferrari has a parts warranty on everything. If I buy every part from Ferrari you will get a better warranty but it will cost a big pile of money more. Many aftermarket suppliers give little or no warranty for their parts so that alone can cause some huge variables.

Ferrari dealers warrant their parts and service work for 2 years and is transferable across all locations.

So if you have a major service at Lake Forest in Chicago but have trouble in Az, Ferrari of Scottsdale should take care of it at no charge. But of course you pay for that as it will cost more than going to an independent. But I'm sure independents also warranty their work.

Great points on parts from Brian.

We must always keep in mind that there are certain parts the dealer will not install. Hill bearings blow away the OEM ones on the tensioners and throw out bearing on the clutch. Not only that but Hill tensioners will last more than one engine out service. But just as many have said. You really have to trust the guy on your car and the shop to back their work.
All in all....these cars are awesome.
