I don't think that the car that I'm looking to buy has run flat tires. I know that pressure sensors are a must for zero pressure tires, but not really necessary for standard tires.
I have a 600 mile trip home, and the car doesn't have the option for the spare tire either. Am I supposed to rely on a can of "fix a flat"? I feel a little nervous about that. Does anyone have any additional advice for me for the trip home?
Of course I'm getting a PPI, checking all the fluids and tire pressures. I'm getting anxious about it.

Drive normally and stay away from construction sites and you will be fine. I did 900 miles with ok tires no issues.

In addition to a can of leak stop, I carry a Kobalt 120v/12v Inflator in my trunk. The model number is KL12120, and I found it at Lowes. It's a very light duty unit which is about the size of a lunch box, and it runs off of your lighter/accessory outlet in the car as well as AC current at home.

Coolest thing is, you set a target pressure, and start it and walk away. It automatically stops when the target pressure is reached. Super handy.

    Wouldn't go anywhere without it.

    Cheers,

    George

TPMS was not mandated for USA cars until 2007.

A 2003 360 could have them, but they would have been adapted from the aftermarket.

I have driven without a spare tire since 2003. It has not been that big of a deal for me. Your mileage may vary.

I own a 03 360 and I can confirm there is NO TPMS from the factory. I recommend the options offered by others as well as becoming a member of AAA if not already. AAA provides roadside assistance and towing to any car driven by a covered driver.

When Ferrari developed the 360 only 4 tire manufactures supplied tires; Bridgestone, Michelin, Pirelli, and Goodyear. Each type has their own recommended pressure and should be followed like a bible. The wrong tires and pressure will cause the vehicle to handle inferior to factory specs. Since you'll be driving the vehicle home, check tread depth, tire pressure, bent wheels, wheel bearings, and any other suspension related parts.

Tire pressure is one of the easiest yet most forgotten aspect of these vehicles and truly makes a difference.

Here's a photo from my 1996 355 instrument cluster. While the 355 never had a factory tire pressure monitoring system I found this unused warning light lens. No bulb behind it (I backlit it for the photo). Seems they at least had tire pressure monitoring in mind back then...

I've had great luck with the after market "Tyre Dog" pressure monitor gadget that has a suction cup holder for windshield mount. Has wireless transmission from 4 pressure sensitive valve caps. I've used them for most of the 40K miles I've put on my '02 360 in 3 years and it's reassuring to see remotely that the pressures are all OK, especially when driving aggressively on windy roads.
