Anyone on the list managed to get a 360 into a single standard size UK garage ?? According to my measurements it should do ?? Picked up my 360 spider last night and am about to attempt to put it in the garage but it sure looks tight .... thinking of installing some mirrors on the far wall to assist, any other tips or pictures would be great.
It sure does, very tight fit. Put carpets on the walls, to help you lever the door against.. It's easier to reverse it in than park forward.
don't think so, the car is widest at the back go in forward using the mirrors as a guide adjust the mirrors so you look along the car and get the back in
In my view, it's easiest to reverse in as you get a full rear view through the mirrors and once you've got the rump in, you can be sure that the rest of the car will slide home smothly as the front is narrower than the rear. Defo a good idea to have some sort stuff on the walls to protect doors when opening. Some soft stuff at the back of the garage also a good idea to stop you bumping too hard...!
Thanks guys, basically I had to drive in front first as I also have some shelving down the right side far end, soo much better to go in with the front narrow end of the 360. Basically I installed some mirrors down the end of the garage as planned and lots of carpet underley down the side walls and the spider fits in nicely. Was really shocked yesterday at how wide the 360 is compared to my old 355 and 348 which were no problem in the garage !! Image Unavailable, Please Login
How did you get out of the car!? It looks like you can barely open the door... Edit - Looks like I got beat to the punch...
Ha ha yep its pretty hard, i perfected the movement on my previous 348 and 355 cars ... basically i have to turn around in the seat and pretty much crawl out of the small door opening. otherwise my last 3 have all been spiders so worst case i would leave the roof down and get out that way.
SpiderScott, How wide is your garage door and also how wide is it inside? Just curious to see how it compares to my garage, that looks a really tight fit!! Ally
wow, that is a scary fit. I have 8' doors and usually tuck the drivers mirror in to make the fit work. I just built a new garage with 10' doors just for that reason. The modern cars a very wide, maybe you should go vintage!! they would fit great and actually go up in value, what a concept! congrats on the purchase, fun car eh?
Putting a mark on the wall also helped me to get my car in its spot. I just have to level the mirror with the mark. Helped me from bumping into things. Will also be measuring a lot when time is due to put a horsey in the garage. ps. congrats on the car
