I would appreciate any insight on this. I have purchased a 575, but have not taken delivery yet. I had a 550 which I made much louder by replacing the central resonator with a crossover pipe. I have read elsewhere that the 575 actually did away with the central resonator from stock and therefore a crossover pipe was unnecessary. Anyone with knowledge on this topic?

    Thanks very much.

I had a 550 as well and had a custom x-pipe made for it (found out later that stebro and a couple other companies make one). I bought a 05' 575 and wanted to do the same thing but when I put it up on my lift I found out that there is no center resonator like the 550. So it will be louder with whatever exhaust you put on it. The downside is the brap-brap(approximation of the sound) that you will hear when you decelerate. The factory pipes do not crossover so you get that sound from the exhaust imbalance(so my mechanic tells me). There is one company from the UK that sells a crossover pipe but it costs about $1200 US so a custom one could probably be made for the same. The one I had made was a work of art compared to the one stebro sells. By the way I have seen alot of people on Ferrari chat say the Tubi sounds like crap compared to other exhuasts out there and I disagree. My car came with a Capristo when I bought it which is great if you like the sound of a scalded cat all the time. It sounds good at first but it wears you out after awhile, the Tubi sounds mellow unless you put your foot into it, then it sound like a Ferrari should. I am going to have an x-pipe made for my 575 shortly. Hope that helps.
