Been going back and forth between purchasing an 05-06 Gallardo or F430. While searching over the last few months I have run accross this car a few times. I was wondering if anyone knew the story on it? I know it has very high miles but after speaking with the owner, he assured me that the car is in unbelieveable condition and that it would be very hard to find a single flaw on it. Of course I would never think of buying it without an inspection but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it before I persued it. Thanks

I don't know anything about this particular car, but I would be worried that a car priced this low would be on the market for so long unless there is more to the story. Unless you are in the car business or are buying from a close friend, don't expect to find a bargain on a Ferrari. Ones worth owning are worth paying for. JMHO

I totally agree with you. That why I posted, I figured someone had to know the story. I know the car used to have a Matte Black wrap on it that they just removed.

Flood/Water damage maybe? Take a look at the four hex screws that hold the passenger side floorboard kick-plate in place. They are corroding and/or rusting. Never seen that before!

Buyer beware. Your eventual cost of ownership is very likely to be lower and your enjoyment higher with a lower mileage, higher priced f430 or Gallardo.

PS. I am always amused by the seller's avoidance of showing a photo of the driver's seat left bolsters. Lots of photos of the passenger seat but only partials of the driver's. Why? The leather is shot. What else is hidden?

    Don't really think it's priced that low-97,600.

With a off color (not anything wrong with it, just not the most in demand), high miles (54K), and "minor" accident, it's priced accordingly.

The above also makes it hard to sell, so no wonder it's been on the market for a long time. I think a lot of people will pass just because of the miles. It's evident that the interior isn't pristine. You can see some scratches in the carbon fiber and some wear in the leather, but hey it's a car with 54K on it and likely a daily driver. My daily driver Cayenne is the same year/miles and it's beat to hell.

I agree, I didn't think the price was that out of line, I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the car. The flood/water damage is a definite concern. Owner assured me it wasn't. High mileage alone does not scare me too much, like many have said I would rather have a car that has been driven regularly than one that has just sat in a garage.

The wheel lug nuts also look like they have corrosion on them, as well as the brake caliper bleeding screw. I don't know if that means anything or not....it may just be normal wear and tear for 50+ thousand miles on that car (maybe it was used on roads with a lot of salt). But I can say, I've had cars with more than 130,000 miles, and they didn't have that...
