Hello Posting after a very long time. I have been waiting for the ZF auto quattroporte's to come down to this price. Is the below car seems to be fairly priced. What issues or yearly upkeep i have to do in order to drive 5000/year http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=p&car_id=315761799&dealer_id=67004221&car_year=2007&systime=&doors=&model=QP&search_lang=en&start_year=2007&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&search_type=both&distance=0&min_price=0&rdm=1331416251470&drive=&marketZipError=false&advanced=y&fuel=&keywords_display=&lastBeginningStartYear=1981&end_year=2008&showZipError=y&make2=&certified=&engine=&dma=ATLANTA_NE1&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&body_code=0&isFlashPlugin=true&transmission=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=30000&color=&address=30024&sort_type=priceDESC&max_price=55000&make=MAS&seller_type=b&num_records=25&cardist=730&standard=false&rdpage=thumb Thanks Sohail
Nice looking car. I am trying to remember what year they changed the transmission design. Be careful if this is a paddle shift as they nad design faults that caused clutch to fail. I have an 02 and the second clutch is due at 25,000.
It is the full auto version. Not the paddle shift. What would this car cost to maintain on a yearly basis.
That is correct, the above car is a QP Automatic. There aren't any major issues and the yearly expenses should be similar to any other high-end car (tires, pads, oils, etc service costs). Just make sure the previous owner didn't defer on maintenance, otherwise you'll be paying for it. Get a PPI before buying. PS: You might also want to check on the differences between this normal QP and the other variants, like the QP GT-S. If the extra features aren't of any interest to you, then go for it. Otherwise you might regret not waiting for a little while for the more expensive variants to come down.
The car has been serviced at Ferrari and Maserati of Houston. All records there and car doesn't need anything. Is 5k a year a fair number to keep this car mechanically up to date.
car should have been serviced at 16,000 miles and a belt job done at that time. A key item is just how many miles are u going to drive this car per month and in what climate. Further what type of parking and exposure/storage will it be subject to. My 02 has a 36,000 mile service due for the next big lick. Last year i drove the car 870 miles. work is a whole 1 1/2 mile trip. I am looking at dry rot tires as an expense. My car is parked inside a climate controlled garage but at work it is outside. Three years ago temp. got down to 5 and when i started to leave at the end of day it was so cold that oil did not feed the engine properly.
