I have gone out there a couple of times to look at Ferraris for sale, one was a 355 Challenge car, the others 308 and Mondial. Did not buy, but he was into the Ferraris, had tracked the 355 at a club event and the cars were as he described on the phone. His business looked more like a wholesale clean up detail shop, but you have to move daily drivers also to eat I suppose. He was very easy going as were his workers.

The 8th digit in the VIN indicates a LHD Swiss or Swedish version (per red-headed.com)

I've known Fuzzy since I was a freshman in College at the University of Pittsburgh. He worked at the Autopalace in Pittsburgh and was always really nice to me even though I was a college student. He would let me look at all his cars and would talk to me about different models. Both my brother and I have bought cars from him over the years. He'll tell you what is wrong w/ the car if there is anything. He's been in the business for a long time. I'm glad he is finally going out on his own. Tell him Spiro and Dimitrios say hello and I highly recommended him.

I bought my first Ferrari from Fuzzy.... and it was a dog of a car... but I think that is more my fault for not checking it out first... Mario Grande at Autopalace always treated me great. Fuzzy was a nice guy and treated me fair.

I've met Fuzzy a few times up at the Auburn/Kruse car auction. Super nice guy, offered to let me drive his Ferraris up on the stage as they were being auctioned. Not sure how he does business, but each time I've run into him he is has been consistently nice to me.
    FWIW, YMMV.

Unless Fuzzy gave this car a complete major and a total overhaul, stay away. This car came from Chicago. I had a PPI by Lake Forest and they said it was a piece of sh*t. PM me for further info. I don't want to rain on Fuzzy's parade (I only heard good things about him from his time at Autopalace) but the car, as of April, was a beater.
It is a Euro with the odometer in miles.

Great guy, saw the car at Hershey, very nice, but for the slimy tires. He had quite a bit of activity around the car all day.

My question is, Why not post more pics? When cars are great, there are a bunch of pics.

Anything looks great in a pic....Anything.

I bought a 1991 348 TS from Fuzzy back in 1999. I didn't do any sort of inspection (mistake -- learned from it).

Within about 2 weeks, the clutch went out. He agreed to split the cost (which is better than nothing). The roof leaked like a sieve, which was not disclosed to me, and I learned of it only after being trapped in a thunderstorm.

I dumped the car within 2 months.

He seemed like a nice guy and somewhat fair. His job is to sell cars. I forgot that my job when buying a car was not to just cut a check, but rather, do strong diligence on the car.

Just curious, did you end up with the Euro 308 from Fuzzy's in Pittsburgh? If so, did you have a good experience? Do you mind me asking what you paid?

Good luck and enjoy your new car (I'm sure you will)!

I bought the car, love it, Fuzzy was great, I paid 37k delivered to western NC. I am planning a full f-chat write up on the experience soon (when I get a little extra time and I'm not driving my new Ferrari)

Anyone know when Fuzzy was at Autopalace? My 308 spent some time there between owners in the early 90's. I am always looking for more history. Maybe he was there and remembers something. Who knows.

When I joined F-chat in 2005, I think he was still there. I believe he left and Autopalace changed hands around 2006/2007. You could probably do a search on Fuzzy.

Just found my invoice. My car had $3877.55 worth of work done there in Apr 1991. No owner is listed but "joe is scribbled on the top right corner.

So was Fuzzy there in Apr 1991? I wonder who Joe is, maybe a shop guy?
