Does anyone from the forum know this 348?

I'm looking at a 348 tomorrow. It came from Texas and now is for sale local to me so I thought I would check it out. The vin is: ZFFFG36A1L0086481 It has a Ferrari club of America decal and just curious if anyone here knows the history of this car. Even better if a chat member was a previous owner.

 

Have you googled the vin? Lots of good info on that beauty... nice color combo as well.

For example; sold at the BJ auction in 2010 after an 11 year stint as a garage queen. Only about 7800 miles accrued since. Appears to have been sold this past Dec for $45k.

 

wow there is a lot of info on this car. You dont think the color red interior is tacky looking?I'm headed over to see her in the morning. One other question, from all the pictures are the tail pipes positioned ok? There is a huge gap above them to the rear skirt. Is this normal? I dont remember seeing this before on other 348's

 

Yes, the exhaust tips do appear to be hanging rather low. I was able to snag an AutoCheck report (attached).

The red interiors rarely show very well in photos; you must see it in person. I was initially apprehensive about the Mondial I bought for the same reason (wanted tan).

To me, the red interior goes best with that exterior color. For example:

I will look close at the exhaust and the rest. Thanks for your help Wade! Maybe in person the color wont be too bright.

 

I passed on that 348. Too many things wrong with it before I got deep into it. What turned me off the most was the passenger door didnt line up right. It just had too mant sheet metal issues. That and it the seller said it had a just had its belt service but come to find out it was 10K miles ago and over 5 years back. No Thanks.
