does anyone have a phtot of a 49 state smog decal ?

Hi there,

I just found out my 308 (under major restoration) was originally sold in Florida, but the smog decal under the hood is gone.

I would like to replace it with a correct 49 state decal (if there is such a thing) since it will be smog tested in California some time this year.

Also, I called Ferrari of North America, and they told me all they could, but still I need to see that decal.

I am assuming that since it was sold as a 1982 in Florida, that it would have 49 state smog requirements and documentation.

Although It appears to be a Florida car, it has Bosch CIS, two cats, smog pump, fuel vapor (evap) system, and PCV.

According to the Calif. regs, that set of smog equip is compliant and legal in CA, so it may be the same as an 82 Calif. Car.

I guess the real question is, were the 1982 308's all built to be Calif compliant, or did they do the Ca/49 state thing in 1982.

Seems to me it would logical and cheaper for them (Ferrari) to do just one version for US export, and make them all CA legal. I just can't find this out.

Anyway, any help on this would be appreciated.

Also, who sells reproduction smog decals for the 308 GTSi ??

never mind...I see that Italian Car Parts in West Linn, Oregon has the smog decals for sale, and they cover 1977 thru 1987, so I am all set I guess.
