That's as good as it gets........NON CAT 1977 steel 308GTB.
That would be the exact same specification as the highly prized fibreglass cars...

SHAME on the bidders who would beat it around thru 22 bids and not get past the reserve.

Did any one test the reserve??

I'm not a big fan of the interior color, but a kit from any of the trim vendors would have easily made it all black/black.

Paint excellent, engine compartment good (note smog pumps present)
It even has the original and often discarded stagger slotted muffler shroud.

The odd color on the roof rails is the anodizing aging somewhat but again a GOOD indicator they didn't just rattle can it gloss black, as many owners do....

That was a fine example, maybe he'll relist it, easily worth $30K IMO.

The wingnuts are wrong on the airbox, of course (the other two knurled knobs are correct)

And the valves covers should be natural castings, not painted crinkle red.

There ya go, -2 points per FCA judging standards......LOL!

98 point car, from the photos...probably 97 points, for the clock not running and the missing hang tag of instructions

Are those rust bubbles in the picture that shows a close up of the passenger side rear quarter panel? It may be just the reflection. Just wondering. looks nice.

Possibly some rust after 35 years..........the lower doors and front rockers are trouble spots..

Easily fixed and repainted "blending in"......

You won't find a 1977 that's been used withoout some corrosion.
It was long before anyone thought to pretreat plating to avoid it.

The damaged pieces I have pulled from my cars reflect the back side is still the Mill Finish on the sheet metal.

Use a modern Camaro door, for the patch, it'll be the best part of the whole car! :D :D :D

    No, good spot!

To the lower left of the side marker, that's some bubbling there.
    Had it happen myself.

That's also the wrong steering wheell installed in the car (the correct one is VERY rare now although there's repros that come a lot closer that this wheel, the black steering spokes are for a later model.

    1977s look like this...

Jerry really loved my #20405....that's the factory wheel, nose badge, and shift knob.

He renewed all three with the correct parts, before selling me the car.

That looks like a nice car. Same color scheme as mine. That is 21139, mine is 21169.

Looks fairly complete. Like the correct rear valence, I only have the slotted part, missing the sheet metal. It is missing the second air pump for the rear bank (mounts to the passenger side of the engine). You can see the studs on the timing belt cover where the bracket mounts. I have the pump but the bracket is missing, so I plumbed both air injectors to the remaining pump. Looks like he did the same. I imagine that was pretty common to do on the first belt change.

Overall, nice car and worth more than $30k. I paid more for mine with 20k less miles but this one is a tad more correct.

Not quite, Big Tex ;-) There are two models considered "above" this: Euro fiberglass dry sump...and...well...
