    ...in the past 10 years?

I am seeing their commercials and was wondering. I have a friend that is an idiot and tried it out of college in 1993. Lost a lot of cash.

I actually know 3 guys that are making good money at it. One guy in the $80k a year range, one guy making $200k a year, and one guy pulling in a few million $ a year.

All three are really cool, not the typical "Amway" guys--which is probably why they were successful. They understood it's a consumables business and aren't real a**holes about the networking portion.

I know a guy who worked 16 hours a day driving a Pepsi truck who left that behind and now enjoys a lucrative home based business and spends more time with his kids!

Yea, but we are not talking about you. (And besides that success was based / propped up by inheritance right?)

    The question is about Amway.

I thought you made your bank from winning those east side break dancing championships for 6 years running.

Have a good friend, that is 50 yr old and he earns around AU $200K he reckons. He is friends with another couple that lives in Melb,Victoria that is on around AU $1 mill for the year. :):)

He tried getting me hooked on it. As have many others. Sadly, I do not have any interest in Amway. :D:D

Don't post that anymore. Someone may be liable to repost it later and jerk off in front of the mirror thinking about it!

I know several who do quite well. One is a renowned architect who has been featured on the cover of Architectural Digest several times and makes high in the 6 figure digits yearly after 7 years of doing it. He is ready to give up the architectural work because it takes him away from home for too long at a time. Another was a bartender in college and met a man at a bar who was attending a convention of "Quixtar/Amway" and explained the business plan to him. He got in 13 years ago and has never held a real job. His income per year is now 7 figures a year. I have names but will not disclose them on a public forum out of respect for their privacy.

Both started at the bottom of the "pyramid" as you call it and is working their way to the top. Just as in starting your own business, the success depends on how much we put into it. I understand the initial costs of getting involved in Amway is roughly $50 and another $50 per month if you want to have a personal huge website. It seems to me that many believe that if you only invest an initial investment of $50 that it can never make it big. I believe this to be false.

I also believe that many who get involved in any multi-level marketing company see images of getting rich quickly with very little work and this is never true. When it does not happen quickly and easily they get out and are one of the very vocal majority who say, "I tried that and it did not work". Even after not giving it a real chance. If you invest $500,000 to get a business started, how hard would you work to make it successful? Why not work that hard with $50 invested. Yes, I know that there are other costs involved, website, purchase your own products, supplies,, business cards etc. But still that comes nowhere near to the investment of $500,000. I am not opposed to them and say more power to those who have what it takes to make it successful in spite of a lot of negative views. I understand how the pay plan works and the amount of work involved to make it work.
