I do know Jim of the sports car company in La Jolla: straight shooter in my estimation. Does a lot of product turnover. The 456 I recently got from him was correctly listed, and VERY competative: I'd recommend him, and easy, very easy to deal with.

just give him a call. He can set up financing too, but I had my own deal thrown together @ a bit better going.

    Thanks Rik.

I know many here speak of him highly. And though I would give him a try, I was thinking that the car I listed happened to be previously owned by an F-Chatter? In fact I think there was a thread about this car discussing previous damage/bodywork done to it? I'm recalling off memory here, but I also did a search and couldn't find the thread.

Wondering if someone from that thread would recognized the car and chime in.

    To sell-it-now.

Its a pretty good trick. ebay gets more hits than Hemmings, Traderonline, Ferrariads and pretty much everything else combined.

    (I love that color combo)

If you do a little research on this site you will get the picture.

Best of luck! The 550 is a great car!

Garrett, I remember talking to you about this dealer and the problems you went through. I certainly will proceed with caution. One step at a time I suppose. Trying to see if anyone here can pull a carfax on it to begin with.

I was watching this one, too. Priced almost $20K under market. I noticed what appears to be excessive wear on the carpet next to the dead pedal for a car with only 15,700 miles.

Clean CARFAX and then a professional PPI would be mandatory.

With two broken wrists and a broken collar bone, I'm suspending my search for the perfect 550, so I didn't follow up.

That Grigio Alloy car looks great. It's just happens to be the worst "Off color" of them all and they still want all the $$ for it. That's why it's been there for months. It's probably a great car though. Just don't plan on selling it in less than 2 years.

Sold for $92,995. Hope they got a bargain and not a problem.

I second that as well. While they do sell cheap, there's always a reason. I wish I had done more research here on f-chat before dealing with them; although I had a fairly happy outcome, I could and should have done a lot better. I can provide details in a pm if anyone's interested.
