    I've had my BBi for about 4 years I guess. I got the verbal history and some documents from the previous owner, but have gotten more curious if anyone ever knew my car before.

    It is 51179, black/tan daytona seats, 1984. Was serviced at Waterfront Automobili in San Franscisco. ANY info would be greatly appreciated.

    Waterfront is still in operation. I know the owner well. I might know the car but do not believe I have ever worked on it. If you PM me the previous owners name I might be able to provide some info.

    Sal at Waterfront Automobili is super thorough, great / excellent Ferrari tech and pretty darn nice guy. I wish my car had Waterfront Automobili on its resume. I saw the work done on a friends car, and it was superb!

    June 1993: Kruse/Leake auction, Tulsa, OK/USA
    New paint, original interior / 50,137 mls on odo / not sold, high bid $111,000 / black/tan

    It´s not much, but I hope it´s of interest to you.

    Wow, that's more than I had! That was a pretty darn high bid for 1993. Must've sold post bid because John O'Quinn (Houston) bought the car and I'd 'heard' it was at a Kruse Auction. The time adds up too.

    Funny, my car hasn't been repainted except the bumper. No way Kruse made a mistake on that ;)

    Thanks again for the info. Every bit helps.

    who was it imported and homologated by?
    whoever it is, will be able to tell you who the first owner was and all of the original factory data.
    mine was done by amerispec and when i contacted them they had all the info - for a price of course, but now i have all the original docs.

    (btw, first owner was the guy who owns cigarette boats :) )

    Your suggestion sounded so obvious when I saw it, but I hadn't thought of it! Thanks. I do have a sticker that says, 'imported by' and some other info. Good idea.

    I did the same thing. It was an exercise in patience, but eventually Dick at Amerispec came through with a very complete file on the car, with pictures of the federalization, invoices, even a copy of the original warranty card.
