Does anyone know the back story to this?

i saw that story yesterday, there's a similar one going on in st louis right now, a guy took police on a chase a couple days ago, and at the end of it, as they're arresting him, one of the police came up and punched him. police brutality? who knows. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0-rST5Q3B8

 

Can't view either videos at work, but I'm assuming they're about idiots running from the cops.

If you run, you deserve to get a good beat down.

 

I think that's the point... both are illegal. The runners, more jail time. The cops, new jail time.

You can't just hammer people because they ran, if they give up, you take them down, cuff them and haul them away. If you "put a beat down on their face". You too should feel the cool confines of a cell.

 

Um no. Disagree. It's not their job to dispense "street justice" so I disagree with you. So does the law. I really don't know why anyone in America would think it's acceptable for the police to beat anyone, but I run into this attitude all the time. Who told you this is ok? It is absolutely unacceptable.

 

No one told me it was "okay". I was speaking tounge-in-cheek.

 

I think I heard about this the other day.... the suspects shown being beaten in this video had just killed a police officer if I recall correctly. When the fallen officer's fellow members caught up to them, they had their revenge. Nothing wrong with that, in my book.

 

It's not thier job.

 

These are not the murder suspects. These clowns were shooting at people in some drug park.

 

As a police officer---I couldn't agree more----Officers like this just make my job that much harder to do .....No excuse for it.... Those officers should get some form of punishment for their actions...
