I found a used one, but it will need a little work to clean up some scratches on the end cap. I tried my local Autobody shop and they won't even try to match the paint (I think they don't think it's worth their time).

    Thanks,
    Cheers,
    Corey

They are not painted, it’s anodized aluminum.

OK, I guess I'll have to research how to fix a scratch on anodized aluminum.

Raimondo is correct. But with that said, I did use a base coat on mine and had a vinyl Ferrari decal made to complete the restoration.

Anodization is quite a simple, cost effective and is a rugged coating for aluminum. Only issue is there is no way to repair a defect.

    Your options are:
    -Live with it
    - experiment with various spray paints and try to get it close enough.
    - have it anodized, still prob won’t match exactly but will be closer.

I actually have a special mix I use that the guys at the Automotive Paint Store mix for me. The Mercedes silver (Uridium Silver, IIRC) has the smallest metallic "flake" and actually is very close. But we worked to get it even more looking like aluminum. I do auto restorations and custom moldings so I use it often on interior pieces I design. I will check the can I have, it may have a mix code on it.
Someone here on the forum has the mix code for the console, door panel pieces, etc. silver paint. If you do a search you may find it. I can see that it may be a good choice for the flashlight too.

As a Mercedes expert I am :D I can tell your Mercedes Iridium silver is color code 775 and that color replaced the older "brilliant silver" which was code 744. Both very similar colors.
